Homemade sesame seed buns
I love to make my own bread, there is nothing like freshly baked bread. And yes, it is more work than buying bread from a bakery, but it is often well worth it. Still warm, soft on the inside, crispy and golden brown on the outside. Mmm, can you almost taste it? These sesame seed buns are delicious!

Soft bread buns
These tasty sesame seed buns are also easy to make. The hardest part of this recipe is actually letting the dough rise. It takes patience and I’ll be honest with you, I don’t always have it . But as I said, patience is well rewarded when the buns are taken out of the oven and you can finally enjoy them! I love to eat these homemade buns with some homemade garlic butter.

- 5 gram salt
- 1 egg (+ a dash of milk)
- 30 gram sesame seeds
Equipment
- Stand mixer or food processor with dough hook

INSTRUCTIONS (how to make this recipe):
- Mix the milk, yeast and sugar (possibly already in the bowl of your stand mixer) and leave to activate for a while until it starts to foam.
- Add the flour, butter and salt and knead to a smooth dough.
- Cover and leave to rise in a warm place for an hour, until doubled in size.
- Form about 10 balls of about 80 grams / 3 oz each. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, cover and leave to rise for half an hour.
