Simple, super easy to make and ri-di-cu-lously delicious, this burrata caprese salad a.k.a. Caprese 2.0. is obviously inspired by the simple ingredients and flavors of a classic caprese salad, but with creamy burrata cheese and roasted, tangy tomatoes.
It’s tasty, creamy, juicy and definitely worth trying! Trust me, you won’t want to eat your caprese any other way.

Flavorful caprese salad recipe
Do you know burrata? Burrata is an Italian cheese that tastes like buffalo mozzarella. Burrata has a super rich and creamy center. It is truly a divine cheese that melts in the mouth and enhances any dish, including this delicious burrata caprese salad!
Nowadays you can buy burrata in most supermarkets, but if you look for an Italian specialty shop you will find some really tasty burrata! For this burrata caprese salad, all you further need is nice juicy cherry tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, flaky salt and fresh basil leaves. Simple, isn’t it?

Burrata caprese salad recipe
This burrata caprese salad is really easy to make. You simply roast the cherry tomatoes in the oven. They will burst open a bit and become deliciously sweet and tangy burst of flavors. You serve them warm with a ball of burrata cheese. Add some fresh basil and you’ve got yourself an Italian flag! 😉

Ingredients
- 500 grams cherry tomatoes
- 150 grams burrata
- 2 tsp dried oregano
- extra virgin olive oil, pepper, salt and fresh basil
Equipment
- Baking sheet
- Parchment paper
- Large bowl
INSTRUCTIONS (how to make this recipe):
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius / 390 Fahrenheit top and bottom.
- Rinse the cherry tomatoes, cut any large cherry tomatoes in half and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Sprinkle with a little olive oil, oregano, and salt and pepper to taste.
- Place the baking sheet in the oven and roast the tomatoes until they begin to puff up, about 15-20 minutes.
- Remove the baking sheet from the oven and place the tomatoes in a large bowl.
- Place the burrata on top, shred if necessary, and drizzle with a little olive oil, salt and pepper to taste and some fresh basil leaves to garnish the salad. Enjoy your meal!
