Big Mac wraps were mega trending on social media, my entire Instagram and TikTok were full of them. My curiosity was piqued, would this trend really taste good? I took the test, gave it my own spin and…
Big Mac crunchwrap – Tik Tok trend
I’m convinced! I’m often a bit skeptical when it comes to food trends, but this wouldn’t be the first time I’ve been convinced and ended up with a new favorite. These Big Mac wraps are definitely a hit! Absolutely perfect to satisfy your big mac cravings with the classic Big Mac flavors and of course, homemade Big Mac sauce.
This is such a delicious, quick and easy meal. I don’t want to hide the fact that these wraps are of course a bit healthier than a trip to Mickey D’s, so we’ll leave it at that. These Big Mac wraps are however, a lot tastier and pretty quick to make.

McDonald’s Big Mac Tacos
I’ve asked myself this question many times: is this a Big Mac Taco or a Big Mac Wrap? It’s almost the same thing: wraps are big tortillas and tacos are small tortillas. In some recipes they are often used interchangeably, so you will see both and most people will just call it a Big Mac wrap.
You can use soft tortillas (or tacos) from the supermarket, but if you really want to go homemade, you can also make your own. You could even use low carb tortillas if you’d like for a slightly healthier alternative. Want to keep it meat-free? You could use a ground beef substitute. The possibilities are endless 😉 .

Making your own Big Mac wraps
I reckon McDonald’s is a guilty pleasure for many. The nice thing about this Big Mac wrap recipe is that you can recreate the super nostalgic taste in your own kitchen. With a few easy steps, you’ve got a lovely meal that the entire family will enjoy. Looking for a great burger-dupe? Try my smashburger recipe!
The burger wraps are filled with ground beef, fresh lettuce, dill pickles, cheddar cheese and last but not least; the secret Big Mac sauce recipe. Although it might not be as secret anymore.. it’s still integral to get that classic McDonald’s flavor!
Top tip: To make sure your ground beef sticks to the tortilla, press the ground beef into the tortilla using a flat surface. You put the tortilla in the pan, beef side first, and press it down really well with a spatula or your hands. If you want to flip it, it’s best to use the pancake flip method. You can also use the other mega trending crunchwrap fold trick, it works pretty well with these Big Mac wraps!

Ingredients
- 125 grams mayonnaise
- 1 dill pickle (cut into small pieces)
- 1 small onion (grated)
- 2 teaspoons mustard
- ½ teaspoon vinegar
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon sugar
- salt and pepper to taste
- 8 small soft tortillas
- 500 grams ground beef
- 8 slices cheddar
- 4 dill pickles (thinly sliced)
- 1 yellow onion (finely sliced)
- fresh lettuce
- oil, pepper, salt and onion powder
INSTRUCTIONS (how to make this recipe):
- First off, make the sauce by mixing all the ingredients, keep it refrigerated while you make the wraps.
- Take some of the ground beef and spread it on a tortilla. Press down well so that you have “smeared” the tortilla with a layer of ground beef. Repeat with all the tortillas.
- Royally sprinkle pepper, salt and onion powder over the ground beef on the tortillas to taste.
- Heat a very small amount of oil in a frying pan, put in the wrap with the ground beef side down and press well.
- After a few minutes, flip it (it’s best to use the pancake flip method for this). Put a slice of cheddar on the beef, briefly fry the other side and your wrap is ready. Repeat with the remaining wraps.
- Garnish to taste with lettuce, onion, pickles and the big mac sauce. Enjoy your meal!
