Chinese Shanghai Beef Ingredients

I can’t say for sure if this is an authentic Chinese dish. But it definitely has Asian flavors and is incredibly delicious! This recipe calls for various vegetables, making it a nutritious dish. As for noodles, you can choose your favorite type. I think wok noodles are ideal because they cook quickly and pair well with the other ingredients.

  • Meatballs: I make these with ground meat, preferably beef, and garlic, breadcrumbs, soy sauce and egg for binding
  • Noodles: a I mentioned above, I would use wok noodles made with eggs but you can also use rice noodles for a gluten-free alternative or even soba noodles
  • Vegetables: such as mushrooms, leeks, spring onions, bell peppers, and bean sprouts
  • Wok sauce: I make this one with soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar and garlic
