Cook the rice according to the instructions on the package. Set aside and keep warm.
Heat a wok or large frying pan over medium heat and fry the bacon bits until crispy. Remove the bacon bits from the pan and drain them on kitchen paper. Leave some of the bacon fat in the pan.
Add a little more oil to the pan with the bacon fat and heat over medium heat. Add the garlic and fry for about 1 minute until it starts to smell delicious.
Add the carrot and pepper and fry for 2-3 minutes until the vegetables begin to soften.
Add the pointed cabbage and stir-fry everything together until the pointed cabbage is just cooked but still slightly crunchy, approx. 5-7 minutes. Then add the bean sprouts and sauté for 2 minutes.
Add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, cumin and chili flakes. Stir everything together well and stir fry for another 2-3 minutes. Season with pepper and salt.
Add the bacon bits back to the pan and stir everything together well.
Spoon the pointed cabbage mixture onto plates and serve with the cooked rice alongside. Sprinkle with chopped nuts for extra flavor and a bite. Enjoy your meal!
