Apple crumble dessert
This apple crumble dessert is a true British classic that is enjoyed by many. Soft apples with a crisp crumble: delicious! Perfect after a dinner.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius / 356 Fahrenheit with the top and bottom heat.
Peel and core the apples, then cut them into small cubes.
Place the cubed apples in a bowl, then mix in the lemon juice, cinnamon and sugar. Stir well to coat the apples in the cinnamon and sugar mixture.
Now, make the dough. Cut the butter into small cubes to make it easier to mix, then place it in a large bowl.
Add the flour, brown sugar, a pinch of cinnamon and a pinch of salt. Mix the dough well with your hands until it becomes crumbly.
Divide the apple cubes between four heatproof dishes or one large ovenproof dish, then sprinkle the crumble mixture over the top.
Place the dishes in the oven for 15–20 minutes until the top is lightly golden brown.
Serve with a little whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for an extra-special treat. Bon appétit!
