Peppercorn sauce

Peppercorn sauce, did you know that it is very easy to make this delicious creamy steak sauce yourself? You only need a handful of ingredients!

Ingredients

4 portions
  • 1 small onion (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp whole peppercorns
  • 250 ml beef stock
  • 100 ml heavy cream
  • butter, salt, pepper

Equipment

  • Whisk
  • Immersion blender
  • Small saucepan

INSTRUCTIONS (how to make this recipe):

  • Heat a little butter in a small saucepan, sauté the onion briefly and then add the flour.
  • Pour in the beef stock together with the cream and stir well with a whisk.
  • If necessary, puree the sauce smooth with a immersion blender.
  • Add the peppercorns and let them cook along.
  • Reduce the sauce to the desired thickness and season with extra ground pepper and some salt. Enjoy!
