Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius / 390 Fahrenheit top and bottom heat.
Wash and halve the chicken wings if desired.
Mix the cornstarch with the spices and salt and pepper to taste and brush the wings with the mixture so that they are evenly coated.
Place the wings on a baking sheet and bake for about 40 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
Meanwhile, make the sauce. Put all the sauce ingredients in a saucepan and mix well. Heat the sauce until liquid. This will not take long, so start just before the chicken is ready.
Remove the chicken from the oven and immediately stir the wings into the sauce. Enjoy!
