Creamy mushroom sauce, a classic and perfect for a festive (main) dish! Super easy to make and deliciously creamy and flavorful.

Ingredients

4 people
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • ½ onion (chopped)
  • 250 grams mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 250 ml stock (mushroom or vegetable)
  • 100 ml heavy cream
  • fresh herbs, salt and black pepper

Equipment

  • Small saucepan

INSTRUCTIONS (how to make this recipe):

  • Melt the butter in a saucepan. Sauté the onion and add the mushrooms.
  • Add the flour and fry briefly.
  • Add the stock and heavy cream, if you want to use (fresh) herbs you can add them now.
  • Reduce the sauce to the desired thickness and season with salt and pepper. Enjoy!
